What HA filler is and where it is injected

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance your body makes in the skin and joints. HA filler is HA formulated as a gel. The doctor injects it into the fat layer beneath the skin of the outer intimate area (the mons pubis and the labia majora) to restore areas that are flat, lax or uneven, for a fuller, more balanced look. Filler is not used on the inner labia and is not injected into the vagina.

HA fillers registered with the Thai FDA are indicated for the face. Use in the intimate area is therefore off-label, which doctors may do at their professional discretion. The doctor explains this before you sign consent.

How many cc of intimate filler is enough?

Natural
2–4 cc

Labia majora fill

Fills only the areas that have become flat or lax, back to a comfortable fullness. Suits first-time patients who want to start small.

Most chosen
4–8 cc

Mons pubis + labia majora

Fills the whole area so it blends together. A clear difference when undressed, but it still looks like your own body.

Max per session
8–12 cc

Full contouring

For significant tissue loss, for example after weight loss or at menopause. If more is wanted, the doctor splits it across two sessions.

Why the doctor uses HA for the intimate area

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance your body already has. Medicine has used it for decades, in skin, knee joints and eyes. For an area as delicate as this, the advantages of HA are clear.

Biocompatible, not a foreign body

Its structure matches what your body makes itself. Allergy is very rare and no allergy test is needed first.

Reversible

The only filler that can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase. If you dislike it or there is a problem, the doctor can correct it the same day.

Not permanent, so it adapts to your life

Your body breaks it down over 12–24 months. Top up, add more, or let it fade. It does not stay with you for life the way silicone does.

Soft and natural to the touch

HA gel has an elasticity close to natural tissue. It feels soft to the touch, not hard or lumpy.

No surgery, home the same day

Placed through a tiny needle entry point, with no general anaesthetic. Some swelling at first is normal, and it settles within 2–4 weeks.

How we reduce risk in this area
  • Injected only into the fat layer beneath the skin of the outer intimate area. Never the inner labia, and never into the vagina.
  • We do not claim that filler changes sexual sensation or function.
  • A blunt cannula is less likely to touch a vessel than a sharp needle.
  • If there is a problem, it can be dissolved immediately with the enzyme kept at the bedside.

General information for understanding, not a promise of results. Every procedure carries risk. The doctor explains your individual case at the consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it look natural?

The doctor aims for a volume that fits your anatomy, so nothing looks obvious in underwear, a swimsuit or fitted trousers. Individual results vary.

Does it help with the inner labia or darker skin?

Not directly. Filler does not reduce the inner labia, but when the outer area is fuller the overall proportions may look more balanced. For skin tone, see our intimate skin brightening page.

Will it affect sensation?

No. Filler sits in the fat layer beneath the skin. It is not designed to change sexual sensation, and we make no claim that it does.

How long does intimate filler last? Is it permanent?

It is not permanent. Most results last about 12–18 months, after which the body gradually breaks the HA down on its own.

Will I need top-ups?

To keep the result, yes. The next session usually needs fewer cc than the first. The doctor assesses this at your follow-up.

Can it be removed if I do not like it?

Yes. The doctor injects the enzyme hyaluronidase to dissolve the HA, unlike liquid silicone or permanent substances, which are hard to remove.

Does intimate filler hurt?

Very little. The doctor applies numbing cream first, then adds a local anaesthetic. During the injection most women feel only tightness.

How long does it take?

About 60 minutes, including the numbing cream and the observation period after the injection.

Can I go back to my hotel or work the same day?

Yes. You go home the same day and can work as normal. You just avoid certain activities as the doctor advises.
